Hi Everybody,
San Diego has been a lot of fun! After taking the dogs to Del Mar we decided to go surfin' at Coronado. The drive is really nice, and ofcourse the weather has been better than we could have expected. Cousin Kenny has been showing us why this place is so popular!!!

The water was really cold, so everyone here wears wetsuits to keep from passing out. Mine was so tight, my gut kept popping out every time I wiped out!

While we tried to avoid drowning, Jenny was relaxing on the shore, sucking up them rays! I know it seems we just hang around all day between beer festivals and beaches, but we're actually very busy with looking for work, and getting our game in play. Burp!

Later in the week we saw a satellite launched from San Diego Air Force base. TThe really interesting thing was that it left a huge trail of this bright cloud that ran a few miles long.

Milo unfortunately caught an eye infection and this morning we had to take him to the Vet. His "brown" eye was very puffy, and full of eye cheese. $120 + some TLC, and now he's looking much better!

So the best news:> Today we finally locked into an apartment! So hopefuly 8 - 10 days we can expect our stuff to be delivered! So, can't wait! As much as Kenny's place rocks, the couch is kinda' tough! We also visited my grand-uncle George and his wife Emelina in La Mirada. They have the nicest house... later when we do our follow up will try to get some pics. Ok big hugs, thanks for all the emails-Much love.

Hey folks,
San Diego is sunny all the time. so WEIRD! Luckily, between our home renovation projects at Kenny's, we were able to make the Annual San Diego Beer Fest. They closed off 2 blocks and there were over 150 participants for beer tastings. Me and Ken were in heaven! Kenny's friends were all really nice and we have a great time! Those little glasses add up! Thank god for the brats (bratworst).

Took some time to explore the San Diego doggy beach. Milo and Chip were in PARIDISE! So pretty and fun to see all the jocky dogs. Milo was great in the water and Nick took chip in to swim. So exhausting chasing after both of them as you can imagine. Chip really likes the taste of seaweed. yuck.

So the latest with the apartment search is that we're waiting waitng waiting. Should know by tomrrow afternoon. Wish us luck! Me and Nick drove up to L.A. and it took about 2 hrs each way. We took a look at a couple apartments in Silverlake and Echo Park. Both really nice. Things are looking up. We got accepted to one place but it's a bit small and no frills. We're looking for SQUARE FOOTAGE! yah baby.

Needless to say, Cousin Kenny has been a wonderful host and we're really enjoying the relaxing atmophere and great air here. Ate some fantastic Italian Tapas. YUM.

More lataz,

Hi Guys,

So it's day 5 and we have seen 18 apartments! Yeah, range of places from really nice ($Chi ching$), to really nasty (Ghetto), but over all everything is larger than our previous 400 sq' mansion in Brooklyn, and much more affotable. We have 3 places we're waiting to hear back from and in the meantime, we decided to drive down to San Diego to visit Jenny's cousin (Kenny). Hard to believe but we have clocked in close to 400 miles!

San Diego is really nice, but seems little too quiet. I guess we like our "big city" living. I have been sending good amount of work apps out, and so far it seems I'm over qualified for most of the stuff I submit, but then again a lot of the really cool listings are super high-end. I am keeping my options open, thank god for those gardening, painting and handyman skills, ha ha!

I'd like to say the dogs are keepig a low profile, but Chip has gained reputation as Public enemy #1. The little bastard likes to pee everywhere we go, chewed my glasses and puked during our 2 hour LA-SD trip! Gotta love him! Milo on the other hand is a real angel. True pro - Ying/Yang.

OK, big hugs to y'all-Keep it real-Woof!

Nick

PS-HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 My Sis BARBIE-We LOVE 'YA!!!

Hi Everybody,

So it is officially day 3 here in LA! We had really busy week getting stuff done before our flight, and fortunately everything worked out great! The movers showed up early, and the car arrive earlier than we expected. Even the stuff we shipped via DHL came in earlier... Now we need to get place, and although there's tons of available apartments here, it's really tricky to find a good deal. I guess the biggest problem facing LA is location. Forget the valley! Yesterday we picked up the car and took off to check out out first batch of apts. Because we're staying close to LAX we have to take the 405 (suck!) to get almost anywhere. So as we expected, traffic is pretty ridiculous. Even during weekedays, off peak hours, it slow! But anyways, we got to see 5 apts yesterday and 4 today, and have another 6 tomorrow. Have to admit, I can settle pretty easy on crappy places. Jenny on the other hand is more demanding, so after trying out a bunch of cralistings I finally cracked, and forked out on westside listings. Some pay service, but the places there are way better, and way cheaper. So we'll keep you posted on out hunt!

The pooches made it in one piece. We did have good 3 hour delay leaving NY due to rain, so they prob. just they were pretty restless by the time we got to LAX. The real crazy thing was I ran into an ex-co-worker (Filomena Loveccio), weird! I'm pushing the car into baggage claim, and suddenly... "What the hell you doing here?!" It was cool to see a familiar face, but we were both more concerned w/ getting our bags... So been getting up really early, like 'round 7am, i guess NY time it's more like 10am. I happy with that, 'caue I can do stuff like check out job listng and whatever, early on, plus with so much driving scheduled, time is really importnant. So so far haven't meet up w/ friends or relatives yet, but sure tomorrow night we'll be grabbng dinner w/ one of Jenny's cousins.

OK, aside from amazing weather, really clean streets, and a lot of spanish, things are very much like the east coast! Hope to hear fro you guys soon... I'll try to keep blog up to date as the adventure continues.

Big up West Coast!
Nick
